Orange Beach Regulations & Guidelines
Please follow the “Leave Only Footprints” policy and city ordinances below:
Tents & Equipment
- Size Limit: Tents and canopies must be 12′ x 12′ or smaller.
- Daily Removal: All items (tents, chairs, toys) must be removed no later than one hour after sunset. Items left overnight are considered abandoned and will be removed.
- Placement: Tents must be placed north of the Mean High Tide Line to allow emergency vehicle access.
Prohibited Items
- No Glass: Glass containers are strictly prohibited on the beach.
- No Fires: Grills, bonfires, and open flames are not allowed.
- No Pets: For the safety of local wildlife, pets are not allowed on Gulf-front beaches.
- No Fireworks: Possession or use of fireworks is illegal.
Safety & Environment
- Fill Your Holes: Do not dig holes deeper than 12 inches, and always fill them before leaving for the day.
- Protect the Dunes: Stay off the sand dunes and use designated boardwalks.
- Flag System: Observe the beach warning flags. If double red flags are flying, entering the water is prohibited by law.
- Sea Turtles: During nesting season (May-Oct), please avoid using bright flashlights on the beach at night.
